With the arrival of spring and good weather siŽintensificano activities and events in the open air as the third edition of the marathon wine scheduled for April 24, which could not take place in Marsala, considered the wine capital.
This sporting event, organized by the Amateur Sports "Marsala Doc" in collaboration with the Biotrading-food supplements for sports of Marsala, is valid as 4th test GrandPrix marathons Region Sicily.
A great number of fans running races throughout Sicily and beyond; in fact, already the only manifestation Marsala recorded in previous editions more than 800 participating athletes from different cities of northern Italy (Turin, Milan, Bergamo, etc ...) with media reflexes to Marsala and positive effects on the advertising and tourism plan.
The marathon is on a journey of 21,097 km of road and begins the morning of April 24 where participants gather at 08.00 near Mameli square (Porta Garibaldi), from where the start and finish will take place.
Here is the route of the road race: Departure and arrival from piazza Mameli, ang. via Sibilla - via Sibilla - Isonzo - p.dalla Vittoria - c. Battisti - isolato egadi - Cap. Falco - l.mare Salinella - inizio villaggio Sappusi - giro di boa - lung. Mediterraneo - via c. Maltese - p.zza Piemonte e Lombardo ( porto) - si sale per la via m. Nuccio - via Mazzini - p.zza del Popolo - via Vespri and finish.
