The curtain rises on the association´s 63rd concert season "Friends of Music" of Trapani organized with the contribution of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, the Region of Sicily and in collaboration with the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, and the Conservatory of Trapani.
From 23 February until 17 April will be held a series of concerts in the church of St. Albert of Trapani in via Garibaldi, focusing as always accurate programming of the highest artistic quality and varied.
It starts Tuesday, February 23 at 18.30 with the concert to Alessio Pianelli cello, young Sicilian composer of 26 years, ranging from Bach to original songs.
Thursday, 3 March at 21.00 will be the turn of two great guitarists such as Oscar Ghiglia and Nello Alessi. The first has a prestigious concert and academic career, performing and recording with great musicians, including Vicotria de Los Angeles, Jan de Gaetani, Geraldi Inglese and several string quartets. At Alessi, however, it leads international concert activity, which sees this as a soloist in the orchestra, participating in major music festivals in Italy and abroad. And ´finally professor of guitar at the Conservatory Receipt of Trapani.
Tuesday, March 8 at 21.00 will be the turn of the famous quartet Nous, which in greek means mind and therefore an expression of rationality, but above all an expression of great creative inspiration. The quartet consists of 4 young Italian musicians, who are Titian Bavaria and Alberto Franchin, violin, viola and cello Sara Dambruoso Thomas Tesini. They are winners of numerous awards both in Italy and abroad and perform several symphonies by Schubert, Beethoven and Bartholdy.
On 4 April at 21.00 you can dance tango with Silvina and Pablo, famous Argentine tango, dancing together as a couple since 1995. In the church of St. Albert Via Garibaldi in Trapani will hear the music of Astor Piazzolla with the inspired running to Fabio Piazza floor, violin and cello with Silvio Dima with Giorgio Gasbarro, all three strictly Sicilian.
April 10 will be the turn of the opera with mezzo-soprano Sonia Fortunato who, accompanied by pianist Antonio Fortunato, will perform an anthology of opera arias and chamber.
April 17 on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare´s death will be interpreted the work "Shakespeare on Love" with the narrator and soprano Irene Timpanaro Picci Ferrari. The harpsichord, Basil Timpanaro.
Tickets can be purchased at the event: the entire costs 7 euro, reduced 5 euro (students up to 24 years, members of the Passover Foundation in 2000 for the year 2016).
The subscription will cost € 30 (full price) and € 15 (reduced: students up to age 24, associates Easter 2000 Foundation for the year 2016).
Season tickets can be purchased at the box office of the auditorium "Santa Chiara" of Trapani seminary from the evening before the event.
