Realizing a Sicilian Cassata "giant" of over one thousand pounds (1,029 kg to be precise), thirteen master pastry Palermo and Trapani, have set a new Guinness world records. To compose the typical Sicilian sweet were used 600 pounds of cheese, 220 pounds of candied fruit and 120 pounds of marzipan. The initiative falls under the sixth edition of "Miarp" Meeting international artisans, pastry chefs and cooks, which was held in the village of Trapani Guarrato.
