Starts Sunday, January 31 the fourteenth edition of the Carnival of Valderice, which is one of the traditional events that characterize the local folklore with a huge audience from all over the province and beyond.
For the preparation of floats the organizing committee involves a large number of people and are made of styrofoam and papier mache by local artists, who provide the local community their professionalism and especially their free time.
With the different floats, you have to get down to work a few months before, choosing annual themes on which the artists give rein to their imagination.
Here is the schedule of events for the whole period of carnival:
Sunday, January 31: from 16.30 till 24.30 Parade of floats, dancing in the square follow Christ the King
THURSDAY ´Feb. 4: from 20.30 all´01,00 Couscous X edition of "ca´ re meat porcu" Dance evening in the square Christ the King
FRIDAY ´February 5: from 21.30 all´01,00 Performance groups dance schools in the square Christ the King
Saturday, February 6: from 16.00 to 19.30 X edition of "Silver Mask" at Molino Excelsior from 21.30 all´01,00 Show with Nana "The Dance of the housewife" in Christ the King Square
Sunday, February 7: from 16.30 till 24.30 Parade of floats, dancing in the square follow Christ the King
MONDAY ´8 February: from 18.00 till 01.00 Parade of floats
TUESDAY ´Feb. 9: from 16.30 till 24.30 Parade of floats and performance of groups of schools of dance.
