The battle of the Egadi archipelago formed in the ancient past the epic conclusion of the First Punic War in 241 BC in March between Romans and Carthaginians.
On this famous event, of which the legend tells that the name derives precisely set red with blood of the soldiers who participated in the naval battle that dipped waters of this stretch of water, we are organized on Friday 20 and Saturday, November 21 two days with a study conference and the inauguration of the new museum exhibition design.
Location of these two days will be former factory Florio of Favignana tuna and Formica.
The project is managed by the Superintendence for Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Trapani with the collaboration of the municipality of Favignana.

On the first day the conference will bring together experts and scholars of international repute, which will analyze the historical and political context, but also economic, in which took place the Battle of the Egadi, illustrating the technical characteristics of warships and military strategies adopted.
Finally the day of Saturday, November 21 will open a permanent exhibition of numerous archaeological (bolts, amphorae, helmets and various pottery), which were found in the waters of Egadi and probably attributable to the period in which it took place the epic battle naval.
In particular, the museum exhibition hall provides a 3D cinema, where visitors can immerse themselves, reliving the emotions of battle through a multimedia narration of events.
