After a year of stop the theater season resumes at the Ancient Theatre of Segesta with the exhibition "Calatafimi Segesta Festival 2015 - Dionysia" that from 24 July to 12 September, the Ancient Theatre of Segesta, but also the convent of San Francesco, in the ancient village of Calatafimi, will be the location for forty plays, 29 performances, including 6 national premieres, 19 laboratories, 3 concerts, the first prize for authors. It will, in short, an extensive menu, which will satisfy all the most demanding palates.
To say that the culture can not eat, will once again disappoint, because the theater season offers innovative procedures for the use and enjoyment of culture with a large induced economic, that is created. Besides, who is to visit the archaeological park, you can admire the Doric temple and the acropolis, stimulating the collective memory of places, responding fully to the needs of tourism and actively involving citizens, including young people.
Returning to the festival, the program, which has been prepared, will focus on the Myth, covering the history of drama to this day. The art direction is entrusted to Nicasio Anzelmo, who will be joined by a team of young authors, who will work on a different structure from other years and other similar events, because the show is not only a container of guests, but will tighten a bond with companies of young artists of the area, which will continue to perform with an appendix to the autumn "Segesta in Rome", and again until May 2016.

August 8: Reading of two songs of the Odyssey at 5 am, while in the evening the play "BARBERIA-BEARD, capiddi And MANNULINU" G. Clementi with Massimo Venturiello;
August 11: "A Midsummer Night“s Dream" by F. Polizzi;
August 16: "Pippin THE SHORT" musical historian Tony Cucchiara and Tuccio Musumeci;
Aug. 19: "JOCASTA Oedipus" with Caterina Vertova and Edoardo Siravo;
Aug. 21: "THE FIFTH ELEMENT" musical performance on guitar by F. Hillbilly;
August 22: "ANTIGONE, CHRONICLE OF A THEATRE OF WAR" with Giuseppe Pambieri. Directed by Lia Tanzi;
August 23: "Lysistrata, THE WOMAN WHO MELTS ARMIES" Aristophanes with Vanessa Gravina;
August 30: "Pseudolus" Plautus with Manlio Dovi. Directed by Walter Manfrč
