From May to September 2015, in Sicily, Trapani Mediterranean City of Music, an emotional journey related to music and a historical center that, for the occasion, will become popular theater, framing, in its splendid architecture, sounds, colors and suggestions. Trapani itself as "Mediterranean City of Music" to return to weave ties with the world, to nurture dreams of prosperity and to share his spirituality looking towards the sea, the Mediterranean has seen, over the centuries, a crossroads of exchanges, crucible of cultures and a destination of great navigators who conquered it, remaining at the same time, it won over by this city that every day can give unique sunsets, sublime fragrances and flavors irresistible. Trapani Mediterranean City of Music is meant to be, then, a cozy landing place for women and men of all latitudes, for their desire to express themselves and to live their time, a "place of the soul and reason", an open area at the thought and action but also the temple of a "creative leisure" that will feed, graceful, sounds and songs ...
The city in a sea of music ... Trapani, formerly known as the city of the wind and sailing, wine and culinary excellence, for its art treasures but, above all, for its beaches lapped by clear blue sea, from May to September will be immersed in a "sea of music." Offer music unique, that s´intreccerà with a series of other events that range from art to literature, through gastronomy. Trapani Mediterranean City of Music is a project of urban animation conceived and organized by the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese - Theatre Tradition citizen and supported by the city of Trapani, the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the Region of Sicily - Regional Department of Tourism, Sport and Performing Arts, the Conservatory of Music "Antonio Receipt" of Trapani, the Association "Friends of Music" of Trapani, the Goethe Institut, the Italian-German Cultural Institute and the Diocese of Trapani Trapani.
The navigation in this "sea of music" will be particularly exciting, with a kaleidoscope of events which will mark the passage of time.
