It was presented at a press conference at Villa Margherita in Trapani with the participation of the mayor of Trapani Vito Damiano and managing director of the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese Giovanni De Santis the rich program of events, which will animate the summer trapanese not only operas but also concerts, literary meetings, workshops, tastings and sensory pathways. All these events fall under the theme "Trapani Mediterranean city of music", which will offer more than a hundred events in the next four months.
Event starter of this long festival is "The Hidden Orchestra", a festival dedicated to fine performances on period instruments as in the case of the "Stabat Mater" by Rossini, in the version proposed in vogue in England in the nineteenth century. It ´a unique festival in the world, that will fill Trapani, not only the city of the sea and sailing, but also music with rare instruments "hybrid": just as an example in the course of the event will be played a harpsichord built in an organ.
