It opens Sunday, February 8 the XXIII edition of the Carnival of Valderice, which has become one of the traditional territory of the fun that characterize valdericino, which every year sees a large participation of not only residents, but also for many tourists, who come to valderice to spend ten days under the sign.
Central event of the festival is the parade of floats that will wind along the main streets of Valderice. The chariots made of styrofoam and papier-mâché are the work of local artisans, that during the months preceding the carnival patiently put their experience, but above all their free time.
As always the current issues, but also those of fantasy are the main source of inspiration for artists who are represented with the usual scathing satire characters who are involved.
It starts Sunday, February 8 at 16.30 with a parade of floats to continue throughout the week with the other side events until Tuesday, February 17, which will close the festival, as well as the usual parade of floats, even a performance various dance groups.
