The Regional Museum "Agostino Pepoli" has already opened its doors to visitors at the exhibition titled "Magic of Egypt. Valuable collections from western Sicily and Slovenia ".

The event allows you to admire, on a single occasion, the collection of "Aegyptiaca" of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum in Ljubljana, the Museums Cordici of Erice, the Whitaker Museum of Mozia, the Museum Baglio Anselmi of Marsala and the same Pepoli Museum .

A collection missed and that allows you to see different collections in a one big event; artifacts that are rarely seen exhibited together.

Precious who are already attracting many tourists and curious, often drawn from withholding "unusual" presence in Trapani of Egyptian objects from the period. Excluding those of the Ethnographic Museum of Ljubljana, in fact, we find all artifacts found in our territory and emerged from excavations carried out in our country; all due to old import, trade and collections which in part was lost track.

In this regard, the presentation of the exhibition was preceded by a day-Studio at the conference hall of the Museum Pepoli, during which scholars have ruled of national and international fame. Experts including the Superintendent of the Sea Sebastiano Tusa, Rossella Lily of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Trapani, Marko Frelih and Mohamed Kenawi, explained to those present the theme of Egyptian magic and its cultural diffusion in western Sicily and the Mediterranean ancient . We focused, for example, much of the historical context and archaeological general as typifying the situations and characteristics, such as Mozia.

Along with the stunning display, also, you can admire the other works in the show, such as the beautiful artifacts in coral, or the old clothes of the nobility and the political and military life of the past centuries, in addition to precious and famous guillotine Trapani.
