Three-day festival to celebrate the flavors of the sea and the land of San Vito. From Friday 1 to Sunday, August 3rd back "Baglio, olive oil and sea", the festival, in its fourth edition, which will liven up the corner of the coast of San Vito Lo Capo, which winds along the bay Santa Margherita, and Castelluzzo Macari.
The event, in its fourth year, is organized by the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo in cooperation with the Association of Tourism and Cultural Castelluzzo Pro site of San Vito lo Capo to promote the socio-cultural, economic and tourist area.
The event will give the opportunity to taste the specialties of fresh local seafood, fried and roasted, accompanied by the renowned oil that is extracted from the olive groves of the area.
"The exhibition - explained Matthew Rizzo, mayor of San Vito Lo Capo - has now become an annual event for the development and revitalization of this part of the coast from the great charm that tourists have already shown their appreciation." Over the weekend you can taste every day at the seaside, specialty seafood, the beautiful Gulf of Baia Santa Margherita, from 12 to 15 hours. you can choose between the fried fish at the moment (squid, shrimp, sardines and anchovies ) in a giant pan with a diameter of 3 meters, and the tasting of grilled fish of the day organized by the cultural tourism Castelluzzo. tastings Friday and Saturday nights, with the exception of the big frying pan, also will be served in the main square of castelluzzo, from 20 hours to 24 hours.
The cost of the ticket for the tasting is € 6 and includes a seafood platter to be chosen from the menu offered a serving of fruit, bread and a glass of Sicilian wine.
The oil in the area, with a unique taste, you will appreciate during a guided tasting of oil carried by Vito Parrinello, expert in the field that, Saturdays at 19 pm, will lead the tasting of some variety.
Space will also be music and entertainment in the square Castelluzzo: Friday at 21 a dance by Diego Riggi and Saturday´s concert Mandreucci and Vella.
