Ready? Go! Green lights the 29/06 for the 7th Historic Mount Erice, valid as the 6th round of the Italian Mountain.
The event is organized by the sixth year in a row by the Scuderia Erice Historic Car; a real recognition of the efforts to ensure that the event will grow year after year. A well-deserved growth and attested, in the light of the attendance and enthusiasm shown by visitors and tourists.
The beautiful medieval town of Erice, specifically at Porta Trapani, has already seen go on stage scrutineering and sporting events, as well as the two rounds of qualifying. The real race will start the 29/06 in the morning, announcing even more exciting this year thanks to a new. The sporting event, in fact, despite being reserved for historical cars, gave the opportunity for pilots of modern cars to participate. It was decided to open the cars of this type - up to a maximum of thirty - to ensure the growing number of spectators increased entertainment and fun.
Specifically, they will be 106 riders who will compete in the 7th Historic Hillclimb Monte Erice. Of these, 83 will be at the wheel of vintage cars, while 23 will drive modern vehicles introduced from this year.
Among the protagonists of the Trapani area that will present themselves at the starting line, the Italian Champion of the specialty Stefano Di Fulvio, at the wheel of his Osella PA9/90. There will also, inevitably, the brothers Grimaldi: Leonardo at the wheel of his Fiat 128 Baistrocchi Sil. 1300; Louis Grimaldi of 700 Giannini Baistrocchi. In the first group, also present the Valdericino Mariano Wave, Italian Champion class of 2013, at the wheel of his Terrier MK2 1150 BC. Race will be, to quote a few more "our" athlete, even the veteran Rocco Help (Osella PA 20S) Fabio Peraino (Radical Pro Sports 1600) and Alberto Santoro (Radical SR4).
For this year´s edition, it also makes use of an important partnership with the noble company of Swiss watches Eberhard & Co., which will award a trophy that bears his name and that is a further sign of esteem towards ericina the race.
