It will take place next Saturday , on the beautiful seafront of San Vito Lo Capo, the third edition of "Zero Barriers ," non-competitive marathon that aims to raise funds that will be allocated to the disabled, the economically disadvantaged. The event is named after the eponymous project, which was created to facilitate the use of the sea to people with disabilities , through methods and means made available by the promoters , using the unique marine environment that the place offers as an element of socializing and integration .
The " Zero Barriers" has its origin in the ´summer of 2005 and was consolidated in 2010. Indeed , the beautiful beach of San Vito Lo Capo, is equipped for the disabled, who can enjoy the sea and the sun is free thanks to the delimitation of a piece of the beach , in which everything was organized for the needs and requirements of disabled people , complete with a boardwalk and dedicated area .
The event is sponsored by the City of San Vito Lo Capo, organized in collaboration with the POS of Trapani and the Committee Paraolimpionico . The central role of " Disability no Limis Team" since 2000 is dedicated to those with disabilities, through the promotion of idromotoria , socializing , recreation , recreational , teaching and practice of ´ aquatic .
During the afternoon , members , without distinction - with and without disabilities , adults or children , of both sexes - will be measured along a route of about 3 miles, strictly without any architectural barriers . The marathon will be repeated on Saturday 21 and Sunday, June 22 , at 9:00 am . The noble cause of the event is one more reason to participate and make a contribution to those less fortunate .
