It will be full of events , meetings and tasting the culinary festival " cuscusu " that from 5 to 11 May will transform the city of Trapani in an ideal location for a trip through the rediscovery of the gastronomic traditions , starting from a flat strongly related territorial identity the Sicilian capital : the cùscusu .
Choral initiative , created by the cultural association Trapaniwelcome , which will involve a number of cultural institutions and associations active in the area, in addition to those of the town of Trapani and Erice and Favignana Paceco . The event aims to promote and preserve the great culinary heritage of the area by promoting a synergy between the various local excellence .
Quality , recovery of traditions and techniques passed down from generation to generation , the use of fresh ingredients and strongly linked to the place of origin : this is the main idea of an event that protect the biodiversity of the local cuisine , against any form of approval and standardization .
Among the events scheduled conferences, meetings, wine tasting and cooking workshops that will take place in some of the most beautiful locations in the city , such as museums , libraries , courtyards, cloisters and squares. There will be tours and guided visits to the most important places of Trapani and moments of leisure and entertainment.
Every day, from Monday to Friday , you can enjoy delicious dishes and sweets cùscusu in restaurants and bakeries participating in the initiative , Saturday 10 and Sunday, May 11th , there will be a public event in the charming Piazza del Mercato del Pesce with laboratories and tastings of different versions of cùscusu strictly to Trapani.
An event "tailor-made " for tourists and visitors , which will give the opportunity to create their own experience by choosing among the many proposals over an entire week. Many members of the accommodation , including hotels , holiday homes , bed & breakfasts , residences, etc. . They will welcome tourists with special offers , such as 3x2 (one free night out of three) .
