Back to the Living Nativity in Calatafimi Segesta .
The old neighborhood " Li Ficareddi " place between Via Garibaldi and Via Roma will again be the protagonist for the second edition of the most awaited Christmas event in the province of Trapani.
It confirms and consolidates for the second consecutive year, the commitment of ´ " Association Calatafimi E ´ . " with great commitment and perseverance that evokes the atmosphere of the Nativity involving more than 200 people and offering an opportunity for aggregation to the community.
This year there will be six events scheduled .
Wednesday December 26, 2013 will officially launch the second edition of the Living Nativity Calatafimi Segesta and then continue on Saturday 29 and Sunday, December 30 , Friday 3 and Sunday, January 5, 2014 . Last day instead of Monday, January 6th , the day when the Three Wise Men will pass through the old quarter to bring their gifts to the Grotto of the Nativity.
Between the winding and picturesque streets of the old neighborhood to life several workshops animated by citizens calatafimesi who will assume the role of their ancestors.
Along the way you will see blacksmiths, tailors , shoemakers, shepherds , potters and anto more.
Each of them will attempt to portray scenes of everyday life of the ancient villages once showing the old tools and crafts of the agricultural tradition and craftsmanship of the city.
Visitors will be able to access the location from 17:00 to 21:30 and also will have the opportunity to sample local food and wine along the way.
The success in recent years of the Living Nativity in Calatafimi Segesta shows how it is possible to combine faith and tradition to the tourism and the promotion of the territory reinventing the message of peace of the Grotto of Bethlehem and inviting all visitors to reflect on the Nativity.
