On November 15 , at a meeting at the Prefecture between the mayors of several municipalities in the province of Trapani , was discussed the question of refinancing operations Airgest co-marketing with Ryanair.
On the plate are finished bern two million euro of contributions that municipalities should then devolve all´Airgest , aimed at enhancing the ongoing negotiations with Ryanair for his contract renewal .
We remember those who were alien to each other that the contract in question would mean that Ryanair , flying on the airport of Trapani , bring millions of passengers to discover the province of Trapani and its beauties.
The story, the subject of discussion for several time , it is very delicate and only today finally there appears to be consensus between the various parties. In recent days, in fact there was no clear idea of where to find the money to continue the trade agreement with the airline though the path traced dall´Airgest provided for a financing of the airport by the municipalities that would have found the money through the introduction of a tax to be devoted in large part to this operation .
Figures, therefore, the amount that would be financed by the municipalities amounted to two million Euros , with a breakdown provides a more substantial contribution ( EUR 300 thousand ) allocated by the municipalities of band A (Trapani , Marsala ), a contribution less full-bodied ( 160 thousand euro ) will instead be required by the municipalities of band B considered ´ a tourist destination ´ as Favignana, San Vito Lo Capo and Castelvetrano . To follow will also help the municipalities of band C ( Erice, Valderice and minor) with an amount of approximately EUR 120 thousand or 60 thousand , depending on availability .
The Chamber of Commerce , for his part , and as a shareholder in Airgest , put his share of € 300,000 . To this must be added the contributions of the other private shareholders and , hopefully, regional contributions cosiderato that the region has recently acquired the 49% stake that was previously owned by the Province of Trapani .
The deal was born from the collaboration of all the mayors of several municipalities , once again demonstrates the fact that the union and the cooperativity provide greater strength, and in this case , provides an excellent resource that is put at the service of Trapani.
