The Egadi cycling. Geo, Rai 3, Friday, 25 October at 16.30.

Among the weekly meetings with the Italian protected areas, the biologist Francesco Petretti proposes Friday 25 October a visit of Favignana Cycling, among the most environmentally friendly means of transport. At Favignana there are more than 6500 bikes available for those who want to visit the beautiful Mediterranean landscapes of the island which is part of the Marine Protected Area of the Egadi, the largest in Europe.

Rare plants, birds, insects, but also landscapes and unique quarries become lush botanical gardens are told with the style simple and straightforward reportage that characterizes Francesco Petretti, directed by the director Francesca Catarci.

The Rai and programs on naturalistic insights have always looked with interest Favignana and Egadi islands in general thanks to the pristine beauty of its flora and fauna resources.

The following video, for example, is taken from an episode of the Green Line of 2008 which, bird´s-eye makes us admire the undeniable beauty of the Egadi.
