And ´now in its fifth edition of the event "Red Garlic and White Sale" sponsored by the city of Trapani, which will take place on 14 and 15 September, in the picturesque location of the Salt Museum of Nubia and across the nature reserve of saline Trapani and Paceco with the aim of enhancing the cultural, landscape and gastronomic of road salt.
Two days, rich food and wine events, tours, lectures, exhibitions-market, and every evening at sunset upon the superb manual harvesting of the salt with the songs of Salt. An ancient ritual that in addition to being a memorable event, thanks to a unique setting between water tanks, windmills and white pyramids that turn pink as the sun is also an important entity of the coast of Trapani, located inside the integral Natural Reserve of Saline of Trapani and Marsala, run by the WWF.
To contend for the stage two excellent products of western Sicily: Trapani sea salt and garlic red Nubia, both Slow Food, which will be featured in cooking shows, demonstrations, tastings and insights that will enhance the culinary value and nutrition. There will also be guided tours of the Saline Nature Reserve, the Tower of Nubia and restored mills, and the chance to visit for free the Salt Museum which will feature a gastronomic area and the market for flavors.
