As is now rumored for some time, the Dovecote Trapani (old medieval fortress, formerly used as a prison, and that symbolizes the city of Trapani), could soon become a full-fledged casino.
Official sources reveal that in fact among the Sicilian location choices for the public notice that will decide where to locate the casinos, will be inserted also the Dovecote.
Reasons? There are several. For example, the fact that the Dovecote is situated in a place full of history and at the same time picturesque, with an incredible view, since it overlooks the harbor and the sea offers beautiful scenery at different times of the day as well as night. Then since a long time now to be restored, it would be a good incentive to give back in force a more contemporary look. And do not forget that a casino incentive without a doubt the tourism, which in our country is already highly developed, bringing revenue flowing across the territory of Trapani and buying new visibility, which never hurts.
The structure of the Dovecote, in short, is now in the recovery phase, thanks to the intervention of the Regional Cultural Heritage that is taking steps to make it accessible so that it will soon seat of the casino.
