COUS COUS FEST PREWIEW IN JUNE IN SAN VITO LO CAPO

From
4 to 6 June in San Vito Lo Capo will take place on Cous Cous Fest
Preview , three days to try an advance of Cous Cous Fest , and select
the chef who will be part of the Italian team that will compete in the
next edition of the event , scheduled from 21 to 26 September next . The
event is organized by the City of San Vito Lo Capo in cooperation with
the agency feedback and is supported by the Regional Department for
Tourism and Regional Cooperation and the Province of Trapani.

During
the weekend you can taste greedy couscous recipes of traditional
sanvitese , participate in fishing tourism accompanied by local
fishermen or attend free evening concerts .
At
the gastronomic competition , entitled "Vote chef for the Cous Cous
Fest" , is open to all Italian chef with a recipe for cous cous with
poor fish that will be evaluated by a jury composed of journalists and
commentators in the industry including which
Edward Raspelli , conductor Melaverde , Laura Ravaioli , chef and host
of the Gambero Rosso and Donatella Bianchi, journalist and presenter of
Blue Line, and a jury .
To
participate you must submit an application by 14 May , by downloading
the application form from the website www.couscousfest.it , where there
is also the announcement.
The
program also includes workshops and tasting food , prepared by local
chefs , and a moment dedicated to the knowledge of the main fish species
of the area, on display and then auctioned at the fish market , with
the participation of Donatella Bianchi. From
12 to 24 every day the chance to taste the couscous tradition of San
Vito , in conjunction with Sicilian wines , buying a ticket for 10 euro ,
while 24 will remain open from 17.30 to the exhibition village , in
Savoy, where you can go shopping among the best offered by the Sicilian tradition and taste the products of the tip of the island .
News
of the event is the contest "New Proposals artistic " , organized by
the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo and feedback , to select emerging
artists ethno , ethno pop, latin rock, pop , reggae and world music. The
competition includes two selections : the first will identify six
groups or soloists who will play live at Cous Cous Preview , every day
on the stage set up in the square shrine. The
second selection , among those who will be exhibited in June , will
choose the group or soloist will perform at the Cous Cous Fest in
September. The six selected groups will participate with a song to the official compilation of the Cous Cous Fest 2010 . Entry to the competition is free and takes place by May 20 . The
