It is the first part of Sicily to be invested by the North African sand when the south wind blowing . Because
of its proximity to Tunisia , the angle is the westernmost island since
ancient times a strategic outpost for trade in the Mediterranean .
From
those of the Phoenicians , Greeks and Romans in historical times , to
those to Europe in the period between the end of ´700 and early ´900,
when structures such as tuna and activities such as the production of
Marsala wine, the extraction
of the salt and the manufacturing of coral became prosperous economic realities.
Elements
that with archaeological sites and protected natural areas combine to
make the province of Trapani in Sicily one of the territories with wider
margins tourist development .
Potential , however, still held back by the lack of infrastructure, especially rail and road . A
gap in which, as suggested by the intermediation professionals active
in the area , they risk wasting the opportunities for development
lighted by recent territorial marketing initiatives : the expansion of
the airport of Trapani Birgi ( +98% passengers in 2009 , rising
to
share 982mila ), which now also landed tourists from northern Europe,
to sailing regattas , starting from the preliminary round of the
America´s Cup in 2005 , giving way now every year in the city lilibea
(modern Marsala) , which became his wind a
international limelight.
He
has demonstrated , two weeks ago, and the landing of Garibaldi tall
ship , the race of the sailing ships of the schools of the world´s
leading marine , sailed from Genoa and landed in the port of Trapani ,
paving the way for the re-enactment of the 150th anniversary of
´
firm of Italian unification ´ " Hero of Two Worlds " and its initial
handful of followers involving 1,089 on May 11 visit to Marsala ´s head
of state .
In
Trapani , the initiatives of retraining, in terms of recovery of
artifacts and beautification of street furniture in the historic,
matches alongside the sailing events of five years ago continue to drive
investment in bricks and mortar .
Today, however, the market shows a dynamism resized. "Compared
to the last 2-3 years there has been a standstill in transactions ,
with a decrease of at least 25% ," says Stefano Codraro , provincial
president of the Fimaa .
A
situation caused not only by the current economic crisis , even as
prices remained unchanged or in some cases paradoxically increased , up
to 20 % more than last year.
The
most desirable areas for real estate business , especially among
Northern Italian and foreign investors , remain the two storey building :
the plowed by the North Walls , on which stands the profile of the
seventeenth-century Torre di Ligny , recently restored and that of
Porto,
overlooking the panorama of the Egadi Islands (Favignana , Levanzo and Marettimo) .
The prices change according to the panoramic views of the house. "
What makes the difference is the view of the sea , which can also
affect more than 300 euro per square meter on the final price ," says
Aurelia Bonfiglio , Fiaip agent and owner of Coimmobiliare in Trapani .
According
to the developers Trapani requests for money in the historic center of
town are between 1,500 and 2 thousand euro per square meter , but for a
renovated apartment overlooking the walls spending also touches on the
2,500 euro / sq.m .
Location Trapani reference for those seeking an independent solution is Erice . In
this coastal village , which in mythological references is considered
the place where he landed his father Anchises Aeneas when he died (in
the area remembers a stele ) , during the summer there is considerable
population increases , even up to more than 3,500 inhabitants
.
"The
real estate offer in this area concerns almost exclusively the
independent cottages or , if newly built , semi-detached , the cost of
which ranges from 1.700 to 2 thousand euro / sqm ," Mary shows
Campaniolo , the Cm Realty.
Slightly
higher ( between 1,400 and 2,500 euro / sq.m ) quotes for a second home
in BONAGIA , quiet, seaside village belonging to the municipality of
Valderice, home to an ancient tuna ´600 restored to its original charm
thanks to a careful
restoration. Market dear and drop demands even more evident in Erice . In
the beautiful medieval village , overlooking Trapani from Monte San
Giuliano at 750 meters above sea level , the question focuses on small
apartments created inside the stone houses .
Prices range from 1,500 to 2,500 EUR per square meter .
