The impressive Procession of the Mysteries takes place on Good Friday, in the charming medieval village of Erice. The origin of the procession is to be found in the second half of 500, when used to represent the Passion of Christ in theatrical stage performances. The Mysteries of Erice, smaller than the sacred groups Trapani, retain a secular beauty and transmit their charm in a simple way, both in procession to the church.
