On Easter Sunday in Castelvetrano, in piazza Carlo d'Aragona, there is the Feast of Dawn. Unlike Mazara del Vallo and Salaparuta, this religious representation is celebrated in a more solemn. It 'a propitiatory rite linked to the medieval Christian meaning of Easter, which was introduced around 1660 by Carmelitans of Santa Teresa. A three statues represent are conducted in the shoulder of the Risen Christ, Mary the Virgin and that of an angel. The 'Aurora represents the meeting of the Risen Christ, in a white robe white flag bearing a flaming red, and Madonna, covered by a long black coat, with the participation of the Angel Nunziante, which acts as a shuttle from the one and the other part. Christ is flanked by the Virgin Mary that widens his arms to cling to his chest son. This act falls on the black coat and the Madonna appears with a rich mantle festive. The sacred event ends with the flight of doves, birds and intonation of festive music.
