Opened this morning, at the Polo Territorial University of Trapani, the preparation course for tourist guides,
organized by the University Consortium of the Province of Trapani, in collaboration with the University Consortium of the Province of Palermo and the associations of tourist guides in the province of Trapani, the project of the Tourism Academy. The fifty students present the course and the Director, Prof. Jerome Cusimano, director of the Consortium, Anna Fontana, President of the Province, Girolamo Turano, the Provincial Councillor for Tourism, Cettina Spataro, the mayor of Trapani, Girolamo Fazio; Panfalone Gaspar, President of Trident Group.
The course, aimed at graduates in tourism, humanities and art history, will train candidates in the disciplines provided for in the examinations for certification guide, above which allow the inclusion of law in the 'regional tourist guides Sicilian Region.
The subjects of the course are knowledge of works of art, monuments, archaeological sites, natural beauty, environmental resources, popular and religious traditions, from the tourist area of Trapani and Palermo.
Also planned visits to the major monuments and natural sites and simulation guides. The faculty is composed of academics, experts and tour guides with long experience in the profession and provide the advanced knowledge and practice communication and social skills of the profession of tourist guide.
To complete the learning activities will be given lessons in English and Spanish, during which care will be particularly references (vocabulary, idioms) to the technical aspects
Classes are held in Trapani, in the center of the University (Dante Alighieri waterfront), from Thursday to Saturday from 9.00 to 18.00, for a total of 204 hours.
