Soul and wine, along with traditional sweets, warm up for three days in Marsala Sicily with live performances (today and tomorrow, 20 and 21 January) and Syracuse (Sunday, 22 January). The occasion is one of the Blues & Wine Soul Festival, the event conceived and organized since 2003 by bluesman Joe Castellano which this year is inserted between the "events of touristic region of Sicily." This ninth special edition - that of the preceding ten-year program for summer 2012 - after the opening concert in Castelbuono, December 20, with the gospel star Crystal Aikin, comes alive with the show band of Syracuse and Marsala Joe Castellano, the Joe Castellano Super Blues and Soul Band, composed of sixteen elements which, in its international tour, she performed with true legends of soul. The three days also provides moments of study and training in collaboration with the Regional Institute of Vine and Wine Institute and the Agricultural and Hotel in Marsala, the 20 (hours 10-13) will host a conference on the evolution of viticulture in Sicily and in the afternoons of 20 and 21, doc Sicilian wine tasting led by wine experts and sommeliers. In addition, students will be challenged to dellŽalberghiero preparation of dishes and sweets of Trapani in Sicily as tutor having the chefs and pastry chefs of the Academy of Sicilian cuisine.
