Three days dedicated to the chickpeas. At Custer from Wednesday 28 to Friday, December 30 will take place in Piazza Municipio "Ceci & Crosses." But you can also taste the products that are made with chickpeas, starting with the fritters, typical of Trapani and Palermo, the soup of chickpeas and rice, typical of Messina, and pasta with chick peas, a dish which is prepared in all Sicily. Visitors to the festival also will also enjoy other local delicacies, from chocolates and cakes made by master chocolatiers, to "push" to continue with the fritters and croquettes, roast chestnuts and dried fruit. In addition, there will also be local pottery, baskets and the "panara" in addition to works in marble and coral. The event represents the first initiative of the future convention that the City has with the Department of Food Science and Environment, University of Messina, which aims to raise tourism through the upgrading of some typical local food and wine to get the recognition trademarks of the PDO, PGI and Deco.
