On the seafront of San Vito Lo Capo in the province of Trapani, a step away from the Zingaro Nature Reserve, for fourteen years held an international event that attracts thousands of tourists and fans, talk about the "Cous Cous Fest." The 2011 edition will take place September 20 to 25 and will compete as usual extraordinary chefs from all over the world for a gastronomic competition to the sound of cus cus, the real protagonist of the festival.
This year, nine countries will discuss the Ivory Coast, Egypt, France, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal and Tunisia, this symbol of the Mediterranean food but also of different cultures and an important addition.
The points of tasting cus cus, called "Houses of Cous Cous", in which six will find many variations of this dish, from San Vito to the Maghreb, from the traditional to the exotic.
To crown the festival there will be music, great and free, with a respectable program, on a stage that will host Subsonica, Alex Britti, Modena City Ramblers, Agricantus, Mau Mau and others, would suggest that will animate the evening DJ until late in the Piazza di San Vito Lo Capo.
