A festival of the sea, the territory and its typical products animate tomorrow Macari, Castelluzzo and beautiful coastline of Bay St. Margaret at the exhibition "Bagli, oils and sea", the first edition, sponsored by the City of San Vito Lo Capo. During the weekend you can taste local seafood specialties, unique flavor from the oil produced in the olive groves of the area to discover the secrets and methods of tasting and exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
The tastings will take place on the seashore, tomorrow and Sunday, in the beautiful bay of St. Margaret Bay, from 12 to 15 hours. You can choose from squid, shrimp, sardines, anchovies and maccarruneddu, fried in oil produced in the territory in a big pan of 3 meters in diameter and skewers of fish and seafood cooked on the barbecue or grilled swordfish. The ticket for the tasting, proposed by the tourism culture Castelluzzo, is 3 euros, includes a glass of Sicilian wine and can be purchased on site.
"This is a new initiative promoted by the municipal administration - says Matthew Rizzo, Mayor of San Vito Lo Capo - which seeks to promote the local traditions, production activities and the cultural and historical heritage of the area and promote the socio-cultural , economy and tourism. The event will also help to know more about the beautiful coast of Macari, Castelluzzo Bay and Santa Margherita, where the sea and nature, still unspoiled, make it around the island a small paradise on earth ".
There will also moments of depth, with a conference entitled "Oil Castelluzzo, expression of the territory", dedicated to the special and renowned local oil, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 18.30 in Piazza Castelluzzo which industry experts who will participate lead also to the method of tasting olive oil and the mayor of San Vito Lo Capo, Matthew Rizzo. The day ends with tomorrow's entertainment. At 21, Piazza Castelluzzo, there will be a cabaret "Here we are," the comedy duo Palermo, Toti and Totino, with free admission. Salvatore Mancuso and Salvatore La Mantia, alias Toti and Totino, will star in hilarious gags and sketches for a carefree evening, on smiles.
