The Extreme Sailing Series Drills have the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Sicilian Region and the Province of Trapani. The tool that makes possible the investment of national financial resources to realize the event is the Framework Programme Agreement (FPA), entitled "Integrated development of the boating and tourism activities in the territorial context Trapani." This agreement is part of a broader program "Contemporary Directions" (www.sensicontemporanei.it) which aims to promote local development through projects in the field of culture, visual arts, architecture and urbanism. The agreement stems from the recognition by the State to the territory of Trapani, a vocation for the marine industry as a whole. The boating understood not only as a sport, but mainly as an economic sector, the potential to develop an articulated chain. From here the commitment of State, Region and Province to create a set of activities that will: Raise awareness of the market in this territory, test and demonstrate how, through the support of a racing program can enable economic benefits, study how these effects can be made to the system and how it can stimulate the production chain with more targeted and effective investment.
