Back to clearing the harbor breakwater at the port of San Vito Lo Capo in the seabed in the north were covered up.
Was completed recently the first phase of work that involves excavation of the seabed and the nourishment of the beach with sand taken from the fund, the depth back to over two meters, compared to 30-40 cm which were reduced , and already the first boats were able to approach the dock. A second phase of work will start after the summer, and provides for the excavation of the seabed of the entire east side of the dock, by the end of the pier breakwater to the shore. The County Board has funded work on 300 000 €, while the municipality of San Vito intervene € 100 000 for further necessary, the provincial funding comes in the collaboration between the two entities to improve the hospitality-tourism services.
