Within three days should partly reopen the Trapani airport: the General Staff of the Air National Civil Aviation has granted to a permission for 18 routes a day instead of the 36 planned. The Airgest, airport operator, wonders whether Ryanair will accept, as he had requested to operate 20 routes.
The reopening of the "Vincenzo Florio" airport closed to make way for civil activities of the military base of 37 Squadron, was strongly supported by citizens, airport employees and tour operators who have expressed a motorcade. Protesters have occupied the streets of Saline, between Trapani and Marsala, along with representatives of trade associations and policy before joining, in Trapani airport, and to guard fixed Airgest employees. The procession then headed for the Prefecture of Palermo.
