One of the highlights of this season at the Ariston cinema-theater is definitely the show by Ezio Greggio, exceptionally in Trapani on November 14 for an unmissable event with the great protagonist, not only of TV, but also of cinema.
Ezio Greggio boasts a career spanning forty years and it is no coincidence that the title of the show is “A life on the screen: 40 years of TV and cinema”, in which he will retrace, through television programs and cinema, forty years of Italian history.
Ezio Greggio has hosted the satirical news program Striscia la Notizia since the first edition of which he is the most representative face together with Enzo Iacchetti, demonstrating all his versatility both in the comic side and in the journalistic side since the well-known comedian is also a regularly registered journalist.
His career began in 1978 as a comedian even though his father dreamed of a job in a bank for him.
Ezio entered the entertainment world by stepping onto the stage of the Derby Club in Milan. There he met Antonio Ricci who allowed him to join Fininvest.
His film debut dates back to 1980 as an actor in the film Sbamm!, but he owes his consecration as a film actor to Carlo Vanzina thanks to the cinepanettoni of the famous saga Vacanze di Natale.
His love for cinema strengthened when Greggio made his directorial debut in 1994 with Il Silenzio dei prosciutti, a parody of Il Silence of the Lambs recently released on the big screen, filmed with Mel Brooks in the United States.
Ezio Greggio was also a television actor, thanks to the various fictions in which he acted as well as organizing, since 2001, the film festival in the Principality of Monaco, dedicated entirely to comedy films.
Now, having just turned 70, he has decided to give himself and the public a one-man theatrical show in which the public will be able to discover the history of Italian TV through monologues and parodies of famous TV and political personalities.
On the Ariston stage, Ezio Greggio will be accompanied by a large LED wall with which he will tell anecdotes and fun encounters, even if he promises that there will be no shortage of surprises.
