There is great anticipation in Marsala for the concert of Edoardo Bennato, scheduled for November 19 at the Teatro Impero at 9:00 pm, as part of his tour that will take him around the country.
Edoardo Bennato is considered one of the greatest exponents of Italian rock even if he has often mixed it with other genres such as folk, blues and punk. His lyrics are often ironic and irreverent especially towards power regardless of political alignment.
In almost sixty years of career Bennato has published 43 albums, having significant musical experiences where Anglo-Saxon music has allowed him to develop a unique musical style, influenced by the greats of blues and rock.
Bennato, however, is a lover of music in general, even opera and in particular of Gioacchino Rossini, who if he had been born in our times, as he declared in an interview, would have become a lover of rock precisely because of his musical style.
In any case, Bennato, thanks to these interests, has always blessed the union between classical and popular music. And this will be the type of concert that fans will go to see in Marsala; a sort of explosive mix of different musical genres that have characterized Edoardo Bennato´s career since he was a child and thanks to the love for music passed on to him by his mother.
It was she who, since he was little, together with his brothers, introduced him to music, so much so that Bennato´s brothers, Eugenio and Giorgio are and have been musicians of clear fame.
The spectators in Marsala will have to expect a more active role from them as the show will not be limited to music alone, but there will be strong interaction with the public.
