For some years, the Pepoli Museum has not only been an important exhibition venue for the city, with thousands of visitors every year, but also a lively cultural hub where conferences, small concerts and even literary festivals are organized.
In fact, from 19 October 2024, the second edition of the literary festival “Lost Identities” organized by the Nova Civitas Institute, an association that deals with economic and social studies and within the scope of its statutory activities, will be held in the conference room of the Pepoli Museum.
The theme of the festival is the protection of lost identities in its many forms: from the traditions of our history to the new themes of today, such as the green revolution and its socio-economic implications.
There are a total of 7 meetings with as many nationally renowned writers and it starts on Saturday 19 October with Licia Colò who will present her book “The Planet: Instructions for Use”. On that occasion, the author will tell a story of a journey around the world, where the protagonist is not a person but Nature itself in its high role as a great teacher of life.
On October 26, journalist Nicola Porro will be in Trapani to present his book “La grande bugia verde” with a series of narratives on climate change and green policies.
On November 16, journalist Gianluigi Paragone will present the monologue “Moderno sarà Lei”, which is taken from his latest book focused on tradition and eco-sustainability, without transcending into political correctness.
On November 23, Marcello Veneziani will be at the Pepoli Museum with the presentation of “Senza eredi”, an essay on today’s society, in which the demographic decline becomes an emergency to deal with.
On Saturday, November 30, it will be the turn of Pier Luigi D’Eredità who will talk to us about “Regressus: the economic reasons for the end of the Western Roman Empire”.
On Saturday, December 7, Ilaria Bifarini will present the book “From the Great Reset to the Green Reset: the ecological transition and the drift of the West”.
The review will close on December 14 with Francesco Giubilei and his book “Ecologistic Follies”. How ecological environmentalism and the European Union condition our lives”.
