On the occasion of Holy Week and the procession of the Mysteries, collateral events are multiplying in Trapani with cultural initiatives aimed at citizens and tourists who are already starting to crowd the area, also thanks to the good weather that has been going on these days.
A very interesting initiative organized by the Salviamo le Tonnare association is certainly the exhibition of the Mysteries in miniature, which can be visited from 16 to 21 March and from 29 March to 4 April in the entrance hall of Palazzo Cavarretta; in fact, the event has the patronage of the municipality of Trapani, which also makes the adjacent outdoor area available in partnership for refreshments on the inauguration day scheduled for 6 pm on 16 March 2024.
In this exhibition, the twenty miniature groups created by the Trapani artist Vito Romano will be displayed, who reproduced them faithfully to the originals obviously on a smaller scale, paying homage to the rich cultural and religious tradition of the city.
The Agro Ericino musical group will also participate in the event, which is also sponsored by the Workers Union and the Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity, which will perform the typical music of the procession that accompanies the annacate characteristics of the sacred groups.
Also collaborating in the realization of the event are the municipality of Erice and the Addolorata association, which kindly collaborated for the realization of the event, which will certainly attract many visitors during the exhibition, because the procession of the Mysteries in Trapani does not itīs only Good Friday, but it is rightly deseasonalized, because it is not just a religious event, but expresses a Trapani nature, which must be exported and taken around the world.
