Preparations are underway in Paceco for the fifteenth edition of the carnival which in these parts takes the name of carnevalata to express the meaning that it is like a wave of fun that overwhelms everyone, both adults and children.
The great costume event kicks off as usual on Shrove Thursday with a delicious moment of tasting typical products, mostly street food which in our area constitutes a mark of guarantee and quality.
Throughout the carnival days there will be various entertainment shows especially for children.
To prepare these days of carnival, the organizing committee gets to work many months in advance with the involvement of various cultural associations such as dance schools, because along the streets affected by the passage of the allegorical floats that will parade on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th February, there will be hundreds of students who will dance in costume to accompany this fun procession to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
This year too, the opening of various stands for the display and tasting of typical local products and also for the purchase of handicraft products is confirmed, because the carnival is not only for residents but also for tourists who they are already starting to visit our territory.
Big news this year is the concert on Monday 12 February at 9.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with the show "I Quaranta che...Dallano i 90", which has already had great success in other events, but which will also be enjoyed by Paceco returns to the delight of boomers who with great nostalgia like to relive the years when they were kids and above all enjoyed crowding the discos of the time to dance to pieces that made the history of Italian commercial discography. Entrance is free.
