For lovers of the genre and there are quite a few, a festival dedicated to jazz music entitled "Quintessere Jazz Trapani" is coming to the Cine Teatro Ariston in Trapani with the artistic direction of Mauro Carpi.
The program includes great protagonists who will grace the stages of the Trapani theater from 19 February to 26 March and starts on 19 February with the first performance of Greg and The FiveFreshmen, where there will be a generous tribute to great musicians such as Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Kole and Andy Williams in a version revisited by Claudio Gregori, aka Greg, who also customized their lyrics in a more classic version.
On February 27th it will be the turn of Gianluca Guidi feat Amedeo Ariano in Thatīs Life! Sinatra Tribute. The great theater actor Gianluca Guidi will go on stage accompanied by three musicians who will play the piano, double bass and drums. Guidi will direct as well as be the author of the lyrics, which retrace Sinatraīs greatest hits.
On March 12 Fabrizio Mocata will propose "Swango", a concert that addresses the historical path of tango up to its definitive consecration thanks to the music of Astor Piazzolla. This wide-ranging musical project retraces the history of this famous sensual dance through the work of great artists who have given it great cultural depth.
On March 18th the great maestro Lino Patruno arrives and with his guitar and splendid voice will immerse the audience in the jazz music of the 1920s, a period in which this musical genre had extraordinary success. During the concert Patruno will tell many anecdotes about jazz.
The musical festival will close on March 26 with a concert by Paolo Di Sabatino, who will perform songs that explore different jazz rhythms, completely arranged by the famous pianist from Abruzzo.
