The program of the fifteenth edition of the Stagnone theater festival has been drawn up, which this year too can count on artists of the highest level such as Paolo Conticini, Emanuela Aureli, Corrado Tedeschi, Manuela Villa and Gegia, but at the same time well-known comedians have not been forgotten Sicilians like Matranga and Minafò and Antonello Costa.
The event kicks off on December 3rd and is curated as always by Compagnia Sipario, which has also managed to prepare a very respectable program this year; indeed it has surpassed itself, because there will be an unscheduled show on January 28th in honor of the unforgettable Laurel and Onlio played by Claudio Insegno and Federico Perrotta to revive the myth of the two great actors who made the history of American comedy until the 1950s .
As always, the stage will be that of the Teatro Impero and until Saturday 4 May there will be 8 shows, which will not only entertain, but will also offer opportunities for reflection.
We were saying that it will debut on Sunday 3 December and the first show will be produced by the same organizing company with a musical comedy in two parts, written and directed by Vito Scarpitta entitled "In the enchantment of Christmas a love story", in which the protagonists are the first spouses of the first family in history, namely Mary and Joseph, whose events give the opportunity to address various important themes, such as marriage, family and service to those in need. It is a theatrical and musical work that retraces some episodes described by the Gospels up to the birth of the Son of God.
The exhibition will resume after the Christmas holidays on Saturday 13 January with Paolo Conticini in "La prima volta", a show in which the Roman artist talks about his life which brought him together with Christian De Sica, who gave him the opportunity to express himself as an actor.
On Sunday 10 March, "Bastardes Inglourio" will be staged, an all-female show starring Gegia, Manuela Villa, Valentina Olla, Sabrina Pellegrino, Eugenia Bardanzellu, Elisabetta Mandalari and Giulia Perini. In this show social issues are addressed where the protagonists of the daily battle are women. It´s not just a dramatic show, but there are also some ironic notes where you smile a little.
On Sunday 14th April Emanuela Aureli will be on stage with the show "Mamma I lost Aureli", in which the famous imitator enjoys staging her characters.
To close the programme, as we were saying, there will be a show on Saturday 4 May in which three works by Luigi Pirandello will be staged in a single evening: "La Morsa", "La patente" and the man with the flower in his mouth".
