With a single cycle of 25 free shows, the second edition of the Contemporary Circus Festival returns to San Vito Lo Capo with tightrope walkers and jugglers who will twirl in the air at a height of 9 meters in acrobatic games to catapult spectators into a truly enchanted atmosphere Friday 23 until Sunday 25 June.
In San Vito Lo Capo, six international and national circus companies will take part in this event and will take turns in the five squares made available by the municipal administration, which has granted the sponsorship, namely Piazza Marinella, Villetta Fauro, Piazza Santuario, Cous Cous seafront and Piazza Girolamo Cusenza.
The shows will begin at 19 on Friday and will open with a suggestive parade of the participating artists, who will make the spectators keep their noses turned up, given that most of the performances will take place, as we said at the beginning, hovering in the air and so it will be for the whole weekend until midnight; the key day, however, will be Saturday with all six shows on stage.
One of the companies taking part in the event, which by the way is the most important without taking anything away from the others, is certainly the "Wise Fools", made up of three world-renowned artists with numerous prizes won behind them, who will offer the kind public of San Vito Lo Capo a breathtaking aerial show with an irrepressible energy between triple trapeze evolutions, flying rope and lots of humour.
The collaboration for the realization of this event is with Cantiere 7 and with the artistic direction of Riccardo Strano, who ensures to bring for three days a festival capable of transforming the scene by triggering emotions at 360 degrees with a truly varied artistic language and creating a narrative capable of leaving an indelible common feeling.
Among the artists in the exhibition, the Italians could not be missing, who boast a centuries-old circus tradition such as the Totem Brigade, which will stage in San Vito Lo Capo the show at the Chinese pole "Hobo", a tribute to the street and what is there more beautiful.
