Albanian-born singer-songwriter, he moved to Italy from the age of 13 with his mother, brother and sister, definitively severing any relationship with his father, which he defined as somewhat violent.
From a very young age Ermal Meta who, we recall, will be in San Vito Lo Capo on September 20, has always shown that he has a great passion for music, being part of various musical groups. Definitely decided to pursue a solo career, initially he wrote only for other singers such as Emma, Patty Pravo and Marco Mengoni, then in 2014 comes the great debut with the single "Letter to my father", where the artist in an absolutely autobiographical song he says that his father has always been a violent type and that the choice to end all relationship with him was a happy one, since life without his father was better.
Over the years, successes follow one another until the real consecration that took place in 2018 at the Sanremo Festival with the song "You did nothing to me" paired with Fabrizio Moro. The song was the winner of the event with great success with audiences and critics and deals with the theme of terrorism and the fear it causes.
In his career, which is relatively short, since it only started in 2006, Ermal Meta has released a total of 5 albums with a musical style ranging from pop to rock. These songs will surely find space on the stage of the Cous Cous Fest in San Vito Lo Capo.
From this year on, Ermal Meta joined his career as a singer also as a writer thanks to the publication of the book entitled "Domani e per semper", published by La Nave di Teseo and tells the story of his Albania during the events of the Second World War.
