The twenty-fifth edition of the Cous Cous Fest opens with a concert by Eugenio Bennato on September 17 with a new collection, which includes twelve songs, sung in different languages such as English, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese.
For those unfamiliar with him, Eugenio Bennato is the brother of the famous Edoardo and like him, Eugenio began his career as a musician by fully entering the Neapolitan school of songwriters which boasts the illustrious Pino Daniele among others.
Although Edoardo graduated in physics at the University of Naples "Federico II", for him music has always been predominant and this choice has not proved wrong, because there have been several awards he has won in many years of career, which began in 1967 with the foundation of the New Popular Singing Company.
Among the awards assigned we remember the Silver Ribbon in 1999 for the best soundtrack of a television drama.
Eugenio Bennato also boasts a participation in the Sanremo Festival in 1990 together with Tony Esposito with the song "Novecento aufwiedersehen", but this event is not in his strings and soon returns to what he likes best, namely experimentation and research in field of southern folk music.
As we said Eugenio Bennato will open the week of great concerts at the Cous Cous Fest in S. Vito Lo Capo and in addition to his greatest successes he will present his latest work “Someone on earth”.
Eugenio Bennato is a refined artist who loves to present his music in the theater for a cultured and attentive audience and surely S. Vito Lo Capo will represent the best audience to listen to his musical production.
