The contemporary art exhibitions continue at the S. Rocco museum in Trapani, which continue to attract a lot of positive criticism from the public of visitors for the excellent artistic quality of the works on display.
The two-person show of the artists Jano Sicura and Marco Nones entitled "In-Segno" has just been inaugurated and both are inspired in the production of their works by the theme of the environment, especially trees and plants, because the green and the rhythms of the earth mark clearly a way we must follow.
If we do not follow the rhythms of nature, there will be no future for this humanity.
Jano Sicura is a Sicilian artist, born in Syracuse, but has lived in Germany for years, where he studied and perfected his technique.
In his artistic production he is inspired by the grafts that unite different tree species and loves to create by shaping with iron and drawing powerful knots, as if to stage a dance in the sculptures.
The swirling intertwining of knots creates a sense of dynamism.
Marco Nones, on the other hand, was born in Switzerland and currently lives in Val di Fiemme.
Exponent of the so-called environmental art, he too has exhibited works all over the world, in particular in Europe, where he is famous for the message he wants to launch with his artistic production of healing the rupture that exists between man and nature .
In the sculptures that you will have the opportunity to see, the visitor will be able to admire the predilection that Nones has for the resin of the fir trees, the wood, the roots, the honeycombs of the bees, the wax, the ice and again the glass, the lichens and the coal. He also loves to produce small works in blown glass.
This two-person exhibition, curated by Beatrice Palamari and Don Liborio, will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon until 9 October and is an opportunity to send a message on the importance of protecting the environment.
Never as today our planet risks an irreversible process and the climate change that is already underway is proof of this.
