TRAPANI PIANO FESTIVAL BEGINS

A high-level classical music festival organized by the Trapani Classica cultural association under the patronage of the municipality of Trapani and the July Musicale Trapanese organization began in Trapani last February.

This is the first concert season of the cultural institution, chaired by professor Vincenzo Marrone D´Alberti, of which he is also the artistic director, which aims to take care of the growth, dissemination and enhancement not only of art and culture musical, but also to cultivate talents, since they will be the ones who will tread the international stages, representing the tradition of Italian classical music in the world.

Dense is the program of the concert season that until the beginning of June will showcase, as we said, young talents, but who have already reached the podium of numerous concerts, but also the great protagonists of the Italian and international concert scene.

It starts after the starter on February 5 with Maestro Marcella Crudeli´s piano recital with a concert at 6 pm in the former "Fulvio Sodano" council chamber.
Marcella Crudeli, born in Gondar, the ancient imperial capital of Ethiopia in 1940 from Italian parents, before returning to Italy she experienced a truly troubled period inside a concentration camp and a long tiring journey as she is a refugee. She returned to Rome, she began studying piano at the tender age of 5, then graduating with full marks, honors and special mention at the Milan Conservatory.

Marcella Crudeli has had a brilliant career with around three thousand concerts in over eighty countries around the world and she boasts a long discography, as well as countless experiences as a piano teacher and orchestra director. Awarded high honors as a Knight of Merit and Commander of the Republic, today she continues her activity, taking care of the talent of very young musicians, which she herself discovered and trained.
