As every year, the tradition of EricéNatale is renewed, the exhibition dedicated to cribs, concerts and Christmas markets that animate the medieval village of Erice from 7 December to 6 January.
The most diverse nativity scenes will be set up in the courtyards, churches and shops, from the most monumental and mechanical to the smallest and most artisanal one.
As every year, in fact, you can also admire the smallest nativity scene in the world, built on the head of a pin. This particular crib technique has entered the Guinness Book of Records.
EricèNatale is also enriched with ancient traditional flavors and smells thanks to the Christmas markets that are as always set up on the wooden huts mounted in Piazza della Loggia.
Tourists and visitors who will walk along the streets of Erice will be able to buy the products of the local gastronomy and also the artifacts made by local artisans.
In the background there will be the sweet Christmas melodies performed by the bagpipers and the Santa Clauses who will parade through the streets of Erice.
This year due to the pandemic emergency there will be further anti-Covid restrictions, for which the entrances will once again be limited, with the obligation of an outdoor mask and entry to the places of events allowed to those with a green pass that is, the vaccinated and the recovered.
Among the many events organized there will be opportunities for the little ones, because Christmas is basically a party dedicated to them; in fact, there are several theatrical performances for children not to mention the circus arts shows with acrobatic juggling, dance and theater with street artists.
The events will close on January 6 with the traditional befana bingo, the key game that entertains young and old.
EriceèNatale is organized by the Erice Arte Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Erice and with the contribution of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment of the Sicily Region.
