The "Le Vie dei Tesori" Festival returns this year as a cultural event that will take place in nineteen cities and villages throughout Sicily over the course of 8 weekends until 31 October.
This event is now in its fifteenth edition and has now become a traditional late summer event to get to know the sites and cultural places of our cities.
Every year we would like to reiterate that this valuable initiative is not aimed only at tourists, but also at locals who often do not know the places where they live and who perhaps pass by absent-mindedly every day without knowing its history.
The routes of treasures, therefore, are an opportunity to be exploited on the fly, because most of the places will be open to the public for the occasion in compliance, however, with anti-Covid security to avoid dangerous gatherings.
We said that this cultural event involves a bit all of Sicily and for what concerns the province of Trapani its doors open from 11 to 26 September and it will be possible to visit it by purchasing the coupon by going to the website www.leviedeitesori.com or in the info points specially set up in the city.
Also this year, due to the anti Covid 19 security measures, the use of a mask, strict physical distancing and reservations are mandatory.
Visits to the cultural sites of Trapani and nearby areas can be made for three consecutive weekends and guided by journalists and expert cultural operators.
The places to visit are thirteen and are the Bastione S. Anna or Imperiale, the Church of S. Domenico and its bell tower, the Chapel of Mortification, the Cathedral of S. Lorenzo, the marble quarries of Custonaci, the Church of the Collegio. dei Gesuiti, the Church of the Holy Souls of Purgatory, the Palazzo D´Alì, the Palazzo della Prefettura, the Montalto Palace in Trapani, the seat of the Order of Architects of Trapani, the Tonnara di Bonagia, and the Tower of Marausa in the new municipality of Misilscemi.
Finally, there will be delicious tastings with typical local products.
