With the progressive reopening the outdoor shows also resume and we like to report as a cinematographic event of the Egyptian summer, the second edition of "Il Marettimo Italian Film Fest", a highly prestigious appointment, which brings Italian cinema to the farthest island of the Egadi archipelago, but not the least important for this.
The film festival will be held from 20 to 24 July and will show every evening, along the streets of Marettimo, the great films that have been released in the last year and therefore represents a moment of promotion of a sector that has suffered due to the pandemic. many limitations starting from the closure of the rooms and the postponement of numerous products to be released for better times.
Apparently, these best times begin with a very special occasion, which serves above all to enhance directors and young authors and also represents a great opportunity to relive the great stories that these artists have brought to the big screen.
Marettimo Italian Film Fest is also a competition that assigns the prestigious “Stella Maris” award to enhance feature films, short films and documentaries that tell the sea in every aspect. And it couldn´t be the other way around, since Marettimo is one of the pearls overlooking the Mediterranean sea with its unspoiled nature.
The exceptional artistic director is the director Pupi Avati, who makes use of a jury of great names in the show business.
During the days of the event, great attention will be paid to the theme of the environment; in fact, conferences and seminars will be organized on climate change, sustainable fishing and the inseparable link that exists between art and nature. It is no coincidence that the Festival is also sponsored by the WWF.
Finally, there will be appointments for healthy entertainment with live shows, cooking shows with great chefs who will present their recipes in a specially set up village with an exhibition of great local handicraft and agri-food products.
