The Christmas review EricéNatale is back, a rich container of proposals and events that for the whole month of December up to the Epiphany, will keep tourists and residents in the most magical atmosphere of the year. Thanks to its charm, the medieval village of Erice lends itself particularly well to this festive atmosphere in which an atmosphere is experienced in which ancient traditions, artistic nativity scenes, Christmas decorations, handicrafts, typical food and wine products are mixed with many musical events that will make from side dish.
After the great success of the Zampogne dal Mondo event on Sunday 8 December, the show continues at the Gebel Hamed Theater with a series of shows, including one for children Saturday 21 December at 5 pm with the artists of Teatro Atlante, but also a film presentation; in particular, on Friday 20 December at 6.00 pm the film "Aspromonte - The Land of the last" will be presented, which recounts the activity of social inclusion in favor of the immigrants that Mimmo Lucano played when he was mayor of Riace. It is a sort of docu-fiction directed by Lucano himself.
The rich Christmas program includes the traditional exhibition of nativity scenes in the streets of the medieval village, for churches, courtyards and shop windows with more than twenty-five creations among cribs of all sizes, including the one as big as the head of a pin and the most monumental ones, where, thanks to the work of master craftsmen, very fascinating ancient depictions of the nativity are put on display.
Finally inevitable is the appointment with the traditional Christmas markets and the evening of S. Silvestro, all in the streets to toast the new year with the traditional New Year´s concert with the music of QBeta.
The festival will close on Monday 6 January with the parade of the Befana and the Magi through the streets of Erice.
