Francesco Renga will be the protagonist on November 28th in Marsala with a concert at the Teatro Impero. This appointment is part of his tour "The Other Half Tour", which in Sicily includes three dates, including Marsala, which is experiencing a truly exceptional autumn thanks to a program of high quality shows that are bringing artists on stage of great national level.
One of these is Francesco Renga, 51, born in Friuli, who begins his passion for music in Brescia, where he spends his childhood and youth, participating in a band competition.
Among his group, called "Modus Vivendi" and he has a great artistic understanding, which is indispensable for winning an edition of the competition. Thanks to this victory, the band changed its name to Timoria and from that moment the group released in 1990 the first official album "Colori che esplodono", in which the great artistic talent of Francesco Renga stands out. Much loved by young people, the group is trendy, publishes other albums, wins other competitions, but above all in 1991 participates among the Youth at the Festival of Sanremo, in which they win the Critics Award, which among other things was set up for the occasion .
In 1999, Renga decided to leave the group to pursue a solo career, which began in 2000, with the release of the eponymous album "Francesco Renga" and even by himself the Friulian singer-songwriter obtained a great success, which consolidated in 2005 when he won the 55th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song "Angelo".
His last participation at the Italian Song Festival is this year with the song "Aspetto che torni", contained in his latest album "L´Altra Metà" which was released last April 19th and gives the title to his tour is bringing to Marsala on the stages of the main Italian theaters.
