The 71st winter season of the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese kicks off with six major events scheduled at the Teatro M ° Tonino Pardo in Trapani.
The Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese is the highest cultural institution in the area, which was founded in 1948 by Maestro Giovanni De Santis to resume after the horrors of the war that cultural fervor, which marked the period 1932-1939 with a stable schedule and well defined.
Having had the support of the municipal administration at the time, Maestro De Santis with the collaboration of other distinguished fellow citizens gathered in a special committee, he managed to find the necessary funds even with personal obligations that were invested to begin construction work. of the theater at the municipal villa in truly record time.
The ingredients that make July great are not so much the money, which is also important for the performance of the activities, but the ideas, which are not an end in themselves, but projects for achieving a goal.
We can better summarize the success of the July Music Institute in the following motto: "First the ideas and then we look for money".
And thanks to this philosophy, July has always won its project proposals, becoming part of international institutions and also carrying out extensive musical training activities even in schools.
The new theatrical season with the Opera "The test of a serious opera", farce of the abbot Giulio Artusi in a single act and set to music by Francesco Gnecco directed by Piro.
Sunday, November 10th, at 9.00 pm returns to the stage of Ente Luglio Musicale "Cendrillon", already staged in 2018, but this year the opera will be performed in a different way with a very indefinite reworking.
On 21 November, again at 9 pm at the Pardo theater, a re-edition of "La Gattomachia" by, a fable for narrator, violin and strings, will be staged. Texts and music by Orazio Sciortino.
The program ends on Friday 22 November and with a repeat on Sunday 24 November with the masterpiece work "Il Matrimonio Segreto" by Domenico Cimarosa.
Finally we recall that the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese does not forget the young people with the representation of some musical comedies with the participation of the same high school students: Saturday 30 November, at 9.00 pm, at the Pardo Theater will be staged the comedy "The Imaginary Ill "By Moliere and a musical with the songs of Queen entitled" We will rock you - School edition ".
