Just finished the Cous Cous Fest, San Vito Lo Capo will be grappling with a new event of equal international scope, because from 3 to 10 October 2019 there will be the world beach volleyball student championships, organized in collaboration between the MIUR and the FIPAV ( Italian Volleyball Federation) with the patronage of the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo.
They will be four days of great sport, but also of fun, because San Vito Lo Capo will be filled with so many young people from the lower secondary schools who come from different countries to compete for the title of world champion after a journey that lasted a few months, where the various representatives played hard to pass the various provincial tests and selections.
On the beach of the seaside village will be set up various playgrounds with a large village, which will entertain the spectators with music that will resound throughout the bay.
However, the involvement of the municipal theater is also expected for some side events.
It is the second time that San Vito Lo Capo has hosted a beach volleyball student championship after the great success of last year, only that time the world championships were in the spring, but this year organizing them in October, hoping for weather conditions very favorable, it will tend to lengthen the tourist season, which for some time in San Vito has been almost all year round.
The championship also has the patronage of the Sicily Region, which invests a lot in terms of visibility on this sport similar to volleyball, only that it differs in some parts like on the number of players in the field that are only 2 and on the score that is up to 21 with a distance of at least 2 points.
